DIVISIONAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2010/2011

This season, as part of the introduction of the Man of the Match awards in league games, there are TWO Divisional awards up for grabs. The "Player of the Year" award focuses on individual players Win/Loss records, whilst the "Captains' Player of the Yeat" concentrated on the number of MOMs awarded.

We are delighted to announce the winners for 2010/2011 are as follows:

DIVISION ONE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

IAN WOODWARD (St.Teresas 1)

Ian finished the season with a quite brilliant record of 20 Wins in 24 League Games played this year. He won the award just ahead of Simon Holland (21 Wins out of 27) and last years winner Chris Raynard (18 Wins out of 22)

DIVISION ONE CAPTAINS PLAYER OF THE YEAR

SIMON HOLLAND (East Sutton Labour)

In a close race, Simon won the Captains award with 8 MOMs this season. He was tied with Ste Whittaker and Alan Dodd but his better record of the three players meant that Simon got the nod.

DIVISION TWO PLAYER OF THE YEAR

KIERAN HELSBY (Broad Oak/Parr Cons)

Kieran marked a tremendous year, and an ever-present record, with 20 Wins out of 24 Games. He won the award with comfort although special mentions go to Jimmy Rigby of Thatto Heath (17 Wins out of 22) and Adam Chorley (17 wins out of 24)

DIVISION TWO CAPTAINS PLAYER OF THE YEAR

KIERAN HELSBY (Broad Oak/Parr Cons)

A double-up for Kieran as he takes the Captains award with 10 MOMs this season (more that anyone in the league). Closest challengers were Jonjo Doherty of St.Teresas 2 (8 MOMs) and Andy White of Scala (7 MOMs)

CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL DONE TO THEM ALL
